1966 Jaguar E-Type

1966 Jaguar E-Type

The Jaguar E Type is often considered the most beautiful car in the world. When he first saw its dramatic elegant lines in 1961 even Enzo Ferrari famously said "That's the most beautiful car ever made".

The Series 1 E Type with its covered headlights and triple SU carburetors is the most desirable of the breed, and the later (1965-67) Series 1 cars with the higher torque 4.2 liter straight six, an all synchromesh gearbox, and more comfortable seats, are the most drivable of all E Types.

We believe early Jaguar E Types are substantially undervalued right now, compared with other classic sports cars of equal performance, and this is an opportunity to invest in a truly useable Grand Tourer that will appreciatie significantly.

This particular example is finished in Carmen Red with Black leather interior, and was enjoyed by the same owner for over 40 years. He commissioned a concours quality ground up restoration, painstakingly completed over a 15 year period. We have all the extensive records of the restoration invoices and subsequent maintenance, which total over $130,000.

Naturally this Jaguar drives impeccably and has just completed a 400 mile journey with no problems at all. It has only covered 54,000 miles from new. It will be sold with its very rare factory hard top which is worth almost $10,000 today!

We offer it with the benefit of our decades of Jaguar restoration experience, and if need be, the services of our comprehensive workshops in North Carolina.

The car can be viewed in our Beverly Hills gallery and has a NC clear title. Inspections are encouraged. We are open to realistic offers and also would consider a quality classic sports car in trade.
